Toro debuts new mowers and PREMA programme

The Reelmaster 3550-D is one mower that headlined the brand's stand at Saltex

TORO has introduced two new mowers that will headline the Toro exhibit on the Lely – Partners in Turfcare stand at Saltex. The brand will also launch PREMA – a brand new programme for quality pre-owned Toro turf machinery.

The new Toro Reelmaster 3550-D will headline the golf mowers on the stand and weighing in at just 900kgs, Toro claim it’s the lightest fairway mower on the market.

The brand says clubs shouldn’t be fooled by competitor claims that their fairway mowers are the lightest as these boasts exclude roll-bar weight. “Nothing beats Toro in the lightweight bout,” Toro says as they dubbed it the lightweight fairway champion. And that means this machine is not only kind to turf, but is also more fuel efficient and cheaper to run.

Toro has combined the mower’s lightweight build with smooth, turf-friendly tyres, a generous 208cm (82in) cutting width, and a proven power unit. This allowed the 3550-D to float effortlessly across fairways and green surrounds – undulations and all – providing the ideal combination of turf friendliness, productivity and performance.

Ideal for links and healthland courses, the 3550-D's cutting width is complemented by a 7mph (11kmph) mowing speed for fast, effective cutting.

Also at the stand you will find the LT3340 heavy-duty triple mower which has been designed for high-productivity grass-cutting on jobs from parks and roadside verges to schools.

Toro has chosen Saltex to launch PREMA, a programme aimed at giving customers the chance to buy quality pre-owned Toro turf machinery that’s technically as good as new, at affordable prices. Every machine in the scheme is given a comprehensive inspection covering key mechanical functions, before receiving a Lely certified PREMA warranty, which backs it with a 180 days’ or 300 hours’ conditional warranty.
