A golf club on the outskirts of Glasgow has launched a new marketing campaign designed to attract new members to the club.
Erskine Golf Club is surrounded by a new area called the Dargavel Housing Estate, a new development which in excess of 2,000 high quality homes in Bishopton - and the club hopes to ‘tap in’ to this potential source of new members.
Club secretary Christine Campbell said the club is advertising extensively, not only in Dargavel, but across the local and surrounding areas. In line with this, preparation is underway to hold an open day at the course in March where prospective members can come and get a taste of the what the club offers.
"The Dargavel development is the first phase that will see the number of residents in Bishopton increase significantly and the village itself will benefit from this in a number of ways including new shopping and leisure developments as well as the construction of a motorway link to the village from the nearby M8 motorway,” said Campbell. œIt is hoped that this improved access route to the local area surrounding the golf course and the increase in the number of local residents will allow the club to grow and support the community in the years ahead.”
