Since opening for play in 2007, The Carrick has firmly established itself as one of the most popular places to play in the west of Scotland.

Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, between Balloch and the iconic Loch Lomond Golf Club (formerly the host venue for the Scottish Open), it has a fun variety of holes to complement the magnificent views, which frankly come as standard in this part of the world.

The back nine makes most use of the loch, with the much-photographed par-3 14th giving the first proper glimpse of the water since the sixth. The 15th, 16th and 17th holes all hug the banks before the 18th finishes in grandstand fashion next to the clubhouse.

Used for a number of high-profile competitions - amongst them the PGA Cup and the Ladies Scottish Open - The Carrick has been a worthy addition to a storied and cherished part of the Scottish countryside... and it feels like its best is yet to come, too.
