Golf Courses in Clackmannanshire

It may be the smallest region of Scotland but Clackmannanshire is still the perfect location for golfers. There are nine golf clubs to choose from here, nearly all of them inviting you to play in the shadow of the famous Wallace Monument.

Alloa Golf Course is perhaps the finest course on offer in Clackmannanshire. A James Braid design laid out in 1936, the course has remained largely the same since the five-time Open champ’s day. Situated amongst 150 acres of rolling parkland beneath the Ochil Hills, this 6,200-yard, par-71 track will challenge the best golfers and beginners alike.

Alva golf course is also well worth your time. A nine-hole cracker, it’s easy to fit this delightful venue into your schedule. The course has plenty of natural hazards, small greens, difficult lines and sloping fairways; it is nothing if not a challenge.

Meanwhile, Clackmannanshire is only a short journey from Stirling, and the region has so much on offer away from golf. From Castle Campbell in Dollar to the Alloa Tower, there are plenty of sites well worth exploring in the area if you experience some history and ap up beautiful scenery in between some rounds of golf.
