Ranfurly Castle may have been going about its business for many years now as Renfrewshire's oldest golf club, but it remains somewhat of a hidden gem amid Glasgow's great list of courses.

Established in 1889, Ranfurly is located in the picturesque village of Bridge of Weir on the outskirts of the city centre, and this course provides a memorable test of your skills having regularly hosted national championships.

The front nine is teasing with a number of tricky par fours, although the back nine is undoubtedly the best section. There is a hint of Gleneagles at Ranfurly as hoards of gorse bushes line many fairways, while the condition of the course is immaculate throughout.

Extending to just over 6,000 yards, the course at Ranfurly has been consistently renovated to make subtle alterations, introduce new black tees and reposition bunkers, ensuring golfers can have the perfect day out.
