Designed in 1910 by five-times Open champion James Braid, the 18-hole parkland layout at Kirkhill is one of the finest around Glasgow, offering views over the city.

The course layout is virtually unchanged since Braid's original design, so if you want to experience an example of his work, then a visit to Kirkhill is a must.

Located in Cambuslang, in South Lanarkshire, it's easily accessible, while its steep history makes it excellent value for money. In excellent condition throughout, the greens really are something to take note of, as they are finely manicured.

With so much variety to the holes, it is no wonder players return annually, and the par-3 sixth hole could be worth the trip alone. Scenic from tee to green, it features a 100 foot drop down to the putting surface, making it one of the feature holes.
