Two miles from the village of Milngavie and seven from Glasgow city centre, Hilton Park is one of the finest moorland courses in Scotland. A rigorous tree-planting programme was undertaken in the 1980s and the course is now Scotland's most heavily populated golf course for wildlife.

The Hilton course is the longer of the two and has slightly wider fairways. There are a number of great par fours that require some clever thinking from the middle of the fairway. But the best hole is undoubtedly the par three 17th. The tee sits on a steep hill some 90 feet above the green. Clubbing can be anything from a wedge to a 4-iron, depending on the wind.
