Greenock Whinhill is a moorland course set above the town with panoramic views over the River Clyde. There are also great views of the local countryside from the majority of the holes, which provides a stirring backdrop to your round.
The course is often unfairly overlooked in favour of the town's more famous neighbour, the Greenock Golf Club. This particular test, though, is certainly no pushover. The opener, a par three at 187-yards, provides a welcome opportunity to get off to a birdie start. Indeed, bigger hitters will find this course to be great fun as there are no par fives and a number of par fours are certainly reachable.
