Founded all the way back in 1885, 'The Tryst' can be found in the small town of Stenhousemuir, just three miles from Falkirk, right in between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The 18 holes take advantage of the area's slightly sloping terrain, but has an open feel to the setup. The rough here isn't very penal, but players will still be rewarded for finding the fairway as it, alongside the greens, are in excellent condition.

Bunkers are the Tryst's main defence and they protect the greens well on either side, throughout. Doglegs from right to left give the course a strong variety as the round goes on, particularly when players cross the road and head around the back nine, before coming back towards the clubhouse.

To make the 18th memorable, you'll want to go well off the tee to have a shot at reaching the green over the burn in two. Regarded as one of the best year-round courses in Central Scotland, it's easy to see why.
