Cowglen Golf Club

Cowglen is very much part of a successful group of popular Glasgow courses, with interesting variation and some deceptively tricky challenges. It's a reasonably short course but you still have to play well to score. Although it is built around a hill, it is not hilly.

There are, however, several good holes that take advantage of the elevations. The eighth is a par five and standing on the tee on a good day you can see much of Glasgow with the green way below - a hole to unleash your meanest drive on.

Cowglen's greens are quite small and in the summer they can become quite difficult as the balls will readily bounce and run on.
