The municipal course at Dalmuir, near Clydebank, is generally regarded as one of the best municipals in the 'Home of Golf'.

On a course that has a fantastic layout, there are some very challenging holes, all of which are more than capable of putting a dent in your scorecard.

Indeed, the two long, uphill par-4s can be quite draining and you'll pleased to walk off with a par. This course is full of character and will provide you with one of the most rewarding and memorable rounds you're likely to play, and given it's only £11 for a midweek round, this is a steal.

The 18-hole setup isn't the longest you'll find, but no two holes feel the same and the ground staff keep it maintained to a high standard.
