The course at Bridge of Allan Golf Club requires a climb on several holes, but the golfer is rewarded with spectacular views over the Ochill Hills, the Forth Valley and north to the mountains of Tayside. Old Tom Morris designed this course in 1894 and it has stood the test of time well. The first is an extremely challenging start to what is an exciting and varied golfing test. A par-3, it is 228-yards uphill all the way with a stone wall about 20 yards in front of the green - not everyone can carry the wall! This nine-hole venue in Stirling is steeped in history and well worth a visit.
