The game of golf is not a new tradition in the village of Balfron. There was a popular nine-hole course here until 1939, when Balfron Golf Club was dissolved for agricultural use during the Second World War. But the locals got their wish in 1994 as the community was rewarded with a fine 18-hole course. Robin Hiseman, the respected Scottish golf architect, recreated the 18-hole  course and the result is a great country track that's playable by all.

There have been continuous improvements ever since at this affordable, friendly venue, with natural hazards protecting pristine greens and an open layout making low scoring possible for the lower handicappers.
