Located on the cliff tops of the spectacular Berwickshire coast, Eyemouth is a criminally underrated place to play golf.
The only course in the Scottish Borders to be situated by the sea, it has two particularly famous holes. The sixth, a 167-yard par-3 that plays across a deep ravine all the way to the crashing waves below, is as memorable a hole as you will ever play and has been recognised with countless awards down the years.
Then there's the 13th, the so-called "Hawkness Monster". At 656 yards from the tips, it's one of the longest holes in Scotland. Any day you walk off its green with a five is a very, very good day.
With a rich championship pedigree and superb year-round condition, Eyemouth is always a total pleasure to play. The exceptional welcome and fantastic food in the clubhouse are just the icing on the cake.
