Boasting two exceptional courses, the Medal Course and the Ashludie Course, Monifieth Golf Club hosted Final Qualifying for the Open in 1999. Located near Carnoustie, Dundee and St Andrews, Monifieth is ideally located for a round or golf break in some of Scotland's most popular spots.

The Medal Course is a natural mix of heathland and links with a fair share of hazards including new deep riveted bunkers, while the narrow, running fairways, penal heavy rough and fast consistent greens will test any standard of golfer.

It's longer than the adjoining Ashludie Course and offers a totally different game, but what doesn't change is the world-class facilities and stunning scenery. The opening stretch runs along the Aberdeen to London railway line, while large dunes come into play thereafter.

With a burn running through the middle and heather bushes dotted around, it's just as good on the eyes as it is with the clubs.
